The Almost Bag
August 08, 2012
"I just wanted to know that the children are all right," she said across the sea. "The Pilot's Wife" by Anita Shreve ♦♦♦◊◊
The projects that I cast on during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics are pretty close to being finished.
This is the Summer Cabled Bag mid-block. It seems to want to be about 8" square once it's put together. Again, it's Lion Brand Wool-Ease (worsted) in natural and forest green.
I've been wanting a new bag (purse) to replace the one I've carried for years. This isn't it. This is a cute and clever little bag I'll carry for certain occasions but it won't be my every day bag. (But isn't that 2-color cable cool??)
On Friday I'll trace the bag to make a fabric lining, then sew the lining and finish the bag. I have until then to decide what sort of handle I'll use!
Also on Friday I have some quilt blocks to make for a couple of BOM's, including one that I'm designing.
Maybe next time we meet I'll post something that reminds you that I'm a quilter!
